Mandla Mashimbyi named new Proteas Women's head coach
Mandla Mashimbyi has been named as the new full-time head coach of the Proteas Women's cricket team.
The 44-year-old succeeds Hilton Moreeng, who was the full-time coach for 11 years before leaving the position in May this year. Dillon du Preez had stepped into the role on an interim basis since Moreeng's departure.

Mashimbyi, who played professional cricket for the Titans, Knights and Griquas, boasts over a decade of coaching experience at domestic and international levels.
Mashimbyi was involved in multiple championship wins with the Titans and also had stints as bowling coach and assistant with the Proteas men's team. He recently acted as fast bowling coach for SA20 outfit Paarl Royals.

Mashimbyi said he was honoured to be named head coach of the SA women.
