Manchester United vs Omonia Nicosia LIVE highlights and reaction as Scott McTominay scores winner

Manchester United are facing Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

United defeated Omonia 3-2 in Cyprus last week and the fixture was far from straightforward, despite Erik ten Hag's side being heavy favourites entering the contest. Omonia took an early lead in the game and United were forced to respond to that setback.

Marcus Rashford scored two goals and Anthony Martial also got on the scoresheet, but the latter won't be available for the reverse leg at Old Trafford as he sustained a hip injury in the pre-match warm-up at Goodison Park at the weekend.

When asked about possible squad rotation for Thursday's match against Omonia, Ten Hag said at his press conference: "All out for the victory, the first game is the most important, It's Europe, it's tough, we want to be No.1 in the group."

United are currently three points behind Real Sociedad in Group E and supporters expect a win tonight.

Victor Lindelof

Outpaced easily by Bruno for Omonia's outstanding chance in the first-half and not physical in his duels. 5

A draw is looking increasingly likely.

Another chance, as McTominay drills the ball low.

Yet another great save...
