Manchester United transfer news LIVE Richard Arnold meets Man Utd fans and Frenkie de Jong latest

Manchester United CEO Richard Arnold met with supporters on Saturday afternoon in his local pub.

The group of supporters were planning to hold a small protest outside of Arnold's Cheshire home against the Glazers' ownership of the club and when the United chief got wind of it he went to meet them instead.

Arnold spoke openly with the fans and several clips of the conversation were then published on Twitter, with an update on United's chase for Frenkie de Jong being one of the topics discussed.

"Money is not a consideration on who we want," Arnold said in a video posted to Twitter by user @MufcWonItAll. "The manager wants him (De Jong) and they have actually done the work. He's a great player.

"Is it 100 or 200? I don't know. Get who you f***ing want. Do you want me buying the players? Does that not ring a bell?"
