Manchester United transfer news LIVE plus Paul Pogba contract latest and Declan Rice updates

Manchester United are straight back in Premier League action this midweek after crashing out of the FA Cup on Friday night.

Unable to be separated after 120 minutes, the Old Trafford giants were beaten 8-7 on penalties by Middlesbrough and only have the Champions League still to play for this season.

Winning that marquee European competition and clinching top-four are the two remaining targets.

Burnley are next up for Ralf Rangnick and his team as United make the short trip to Turf Moor on Tuesday night.

Amid their ongoing quest for Champions League qualification, United also have one eye on the summer window after refusing to make a move last month. Declan Rice is still viewed as a top target and they also have to finalise their decision on Paul Pogba and his much-talked about future.

Pogba and Jesse Lingard are out of contract at the end of this season.

Speculation over Paul Pogba and his United future will continue right up to the summer months.

As things stand, the World Cup winner and his agent Mino Raiola have yet to extend his contract at Old Trafford.

But might there be a further twist to come?

Juventus and PSG are among those waiting to pounce if Pogba does opt to move on - but reports from ESPN say club officials including football director John Murtough have asked Pogba not to be hasty with his decision on his future until they appoint a permanent manager.

It's also reported that the Frenchman has been 'won over' by Rangnick and his own plans.

Speaking about Rice, there are several clubs in the market for his siganture.

Here is how bookmakers SkyBet currently rate United's chances of signing him;

Chelsea - 3/1
