Manchester United transfer news LIVE takeover latest plus Marcus Rashford injury updates

More than five bids will reportedly be made for Manchester United before Wednesday's deadline for second offers is reached.

While much of the focus has been on Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, there could even be as many as eight bids tabled for the club.

Sheikh Jassim is expected to submit his second bid for United amid growing confidence that the Glazer family will sell the club, with the Qatari banker having sent a delegation to meet club executives on Friday. Meanwhile, Ratcliffe is also set to lodge a second offer in the coming days. Reports have suggested the Glazers have an asking price of £6billion.

Elsewhere, United forward Marcus Rashford withdrew from the England squad on Monday after he picked up a knock during his side's FA Cup quarter-final win against Fulham on Sunday. The 25-year-old has scored 19 goals since returning from the World Cup, where he found the net three times in five games.

On the pitch, Erik ten Hag's side are still competing on all four fronts and will have the opportunity to progress to the Europa League semi-finals next month.
