Manchester United 'track Lyon right-back Malo Gusto' and more transfer rumours

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is being linked with a move to fellow Premier League side Leicester City in the January transfer window.

The Dutchman, who signed for the Reds from Ajay in 2020, has struggled for game time at Old Trafford and spent the second half of last season on loan with Everton. It was presumed that he would get more minutes under his belt following the arrival of manager Erik ten Hag, but the 25-year-old has registered just 19 minutes of football this season.

According to ESPN, Leicester are one of several clubs 'interested' in a potential deal for Van de Beek, who has two years remaining on his contract at United. The report adds that the Reds want 'some kind of return' on the fee they paid for the player two years ago.

Elsewhere, 90min are reporting that United are keeping 'close tabs' on Lyon full-back Malo Gusto, with the 19-year-old establishing himself as the Ligue 1 club's first-choice right-back. The defender only made his debut for the French outfit in January last year.

The report claims that United and Barcelona have been monitoring the Frenchman since the start of this year and that both clubs made enquiries in the summer.

However, it adds that the Reds have since been joined in the hunt for Gusto by several European clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, with there also being 'substantial' Premier League interest.

He is contracted to Lyon until 2024 after signing a new deal last year, and the Ligue 1 club are reportedly prepared to reward him with a new contract following his meteoric rise.
