Manchester United told how to beat Arsenal in the race for a Champions League place

Manchester United have been told they need to win "seven or eight" of their nine remaining Premier League games to have a chance of finishing in the top four.

The club currently sit in sixth, four points off fourth-place Arsenal who have a game in hand. Former United striker Danny Webber has admitted he is "worried" United will fall away fast if they continue to drop points against teams they are expected to beat.

Speaking on the club’s official website, he said: “I think we do need to win seven or eight out of nine. We have got Liverpool and some tough games, but those aren't the games I am worried about. It is the other ‘lesser’ games where we have dropped points and become disappointed because we haven't taken them.”

Webber admitted he is concerned that any more slip-ups could see the Gunners run away with fourth spot. He added: “We have to win each one at a time because Arsenal are flying. They are the one where, if you allow them to get out of reach, I think you are in trouble.”

Meanwhile, treble-winning United defender Wes Brown gave a candid assessment of where his former club are and how they will rue missed opportunities. He said: “We have struggled now for a few years and we have got to suck it up, it is as simple as that. I look at the team sheet every single week and I think ‘we can do this’.
