Manchester United tipped to sign two Premier League stars in a big summer transfer window

Many Manchester United fans were left disappointed after the club opted not to sign any new players in the January transfer window. Despite the club needing reinforcements, United focused on securing outgoings for some players.

Donny van de Beek, Anthony Martial and Amad all opted for a loan move until the end of the season. With no new faces coming in, could United be set for a big summer regarding signings?

In MEN's special deadline day Facebook Live, United on my Mind writers Omar Garrick and Anil Kandola discussed the January fallout and if this means United will make strong movements in the next window.

: "Every cloud has a silver lining, as I like to say and if we haven't made too many movements in January, be sure Manchester United fans that there will be a lot of movement in the summer.

"Not only with the players and who may come in, but also with the manager. I know I keep banging this drum, but it's absolutely massive not only in terms of where the club go but also the types of players we're going to be going for.

"Van de Beek needed to move as Manchester United fans. I think I speak on behalf of a lot of them when I say we love him. The treatment that he's got from the club, let's be honest, just hasn't been right for a player of that calibre and especially when he was brought in, he was regarded as one of the top midfielders in his role in the world.
