Manchester United star Marcus Rashford teams up with Dave for Beats by Dre campaign

Marcus Rashford’s football journey to date has been mapped out by artist Gaia Alari in the form of a 60-second animated flip-book.

In a Beats By Dre partnership, UK rapper Dave - an avid Manchester United fan - narrates over the film, which features memorable moments in his career, both good and bad. Titled ‘Never Beaten’, the clip shows depictions of his first United goal and his Euro 2020 final penalty-shootout miss.

The message of the piece outlined Rashford’s mentality to keep training harder and pushing further throughout the highs and lows of his career. In the video, Dave concludes: “This painting you spent a lifetime working on is ahead of you.”

Rashford had a rough 12 months prior to the start of pre-season. After his Euro 2020 final heartache with England, the attacker looked bereft of confidence amid United’s woeful campaign.

He received waves of online abuse for both club and country forays, but the video encapsulates his determination to push through the hate. Rashford seems to have found his feet again under Erik ten Hag this summer, netting twice and being one of the star players of pre-season.

The 24-year-old has admitted he feels like he is in a better place mentally and physically ahead of the new season. In response to the video put together by Beats By Dre, he said: “The thing I love about football is that it gives you the opportunity to rewrite chapters every season.
