Manchester United 'set price tag' for Diogo Dalot amid Barcelona interest and more transfer rumours

Manchester United will reportedly demand €25m for defender Diogo Dalot in January amid interest from Barcelona, with the Portuguese international out of contract at the end of the season.

According to Spanish publication SPORT, United will not accept any bids less than €25m for Dalot. It is thought, however, that Erik ten Hag is keen to keep the player at Old Trafford after his strong to the campaign.

The 23-year-old right-back has been in impressive form for United lately and is keeping Aaron Wan-Bissaka out of the side, with the Englishman only managing five minutes of Premier League football. Dalot has made 10 appearances this season and has registered two assists.

Although Dalot's contract expires at the end of the current season, United have an option to extend it by a further year, which the club are expected to do. Since arriving at Old Trafford from Porto, the defender has made 75 appearances for United.

Elsewhere, Media Foot are reporting that the Reds are considering a move for Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos next summer.

The report states that United have identified the 28-year-old as a potential long-term replacement for current first-choice shot-stopper David de Gea, who is out of contract in 2023. United could extend the Spaniard's deal at Old Trafford, but are still thought to be keen on a move for Vlachodimos.

Vlachodimos, who signed for Benfica from Panathinaikos in 2018, has made 185 appearances for the Portuguese giants. He has made an impressive start to this campaign and has recorded nine clean sheets.
