Manchester United's set piece options if Cristiano Ronaldo seals transfer exit

Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United this summer as the club are failing to meet his ambitions and he has informed them of that decision. It seems even the appointment of Erik ten Hag isn't enough to sway the Portuguese forward into reconsidering his stance.

United's own view on the situation remains that Ronaldo is unavailable this summer, which they stated when reports emerged that his agent, Jorge Mendes, had spoken to both Chelsea and Bayern Munich about the prospect of a summer transfer. The Manchester Evening News understands the club expect the Portuguese forward to still be here when the window ends and to fulfil his contract until the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

But if Ronaldo does leave that will create a massive opening in the squad. Not only in the striker position that the Portuguese forward has occupied since his return to Old Trafford, but also in the set-piece department.
