Manchester United's remaining Premier League fixtures compared to Aston Villa and Tottenham

Manchester United have ten Premier League games remaining as Erik ten Hag's side look to finish in a Champions League spot while juggling their hopes of securing the FA Cup.

United have been in better form in the second half of the season and could still qualify for the Champions League. The Reds are currently in sixth place, nine points behind Aston Villa in fourth. Although it may be asking a lot to catch Villa in the final ten matches of the season, Unai Emery's team do still have to play Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Fortunately for United, they may have been thrown a lifeline. The new Champions League format means there are four extra places available for next season's competition. Two will go to the qualifying rounds, which United would not be eligible for. However, the other two will be handed to the two best-performing leagues in Europe this season.

If England are one of the two best-performing nations in Europe this season, fifth place in the Premier League will become a Champions League spot, sixth and seventh Europa League spots and eighth a Conference League place.

Therefore, English teams doing well in European competitions this term could benefit United, but they'll still believe they can clinch qualification for the Champions League by finishing fourth.

Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at United's remaining fixtures this season in comparison to Aston Villa and Spurs.
