Manchester United's Harry Maguire sends three-word message to Jude Bellingham after El Clasico heroics for Real Madrid

Harry Maguire is the latest star to heap praise on Jude Bellingham following his incredible performance in Real Madrid's 2-1 win at Barcelona on Saturday.

Carlo Ancelotti's side returned to the top of La Liga after coming from behind to beat Barcelona 2-1. Bellingham was the hero for Los Blancos, equalising with a 25-yard rocket before winning it from close range in the 92nd minute and sending the travelling support wild.

The 20-year-old now has 13 goals in as many matches for Madrid and is arguably the most in-form player in world football. His trademark celebration is fast becoming iconic and after securing victory in his first 'Clasico', the England international took to social media to celebrate.

Manchester United defender Maguire was one of several high-profile footballers to respond, simply writing: "What a player [fire emoji]".

Bellingham is quickly becoming an icon at Madrid, following his £105million move from Borussia Dortmund over the summer. The midfielder has already surpassed Zinedine Zidane’s best-ever goalscoring tally for the Spanish giants and is earning comparisons with the French legend.

Maguire has been fortunate enough to see Bellingham do the business first-hand while on international duty. He could have also seen the midfielder in red as United were close to signing him as a 17-year-old.

Bellingham was invited to Carrington during his time at Birmingham City, where he was greeted by the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Eric Cantona. He eventually decided to leave England and join Dortmund in search of regular football.
