Manchester United's Eredivisie signings and how they performed

Sitting outside of the ‘Big Five’ European football leagues, the Dutch top-tier sits precariously at 7th on the UEFA rankings. Once the hotbed of footballing innovation and elite talent, the Eredivisie is at risk of being overtaken by the Scottish Premiership.

Despite the decline in the quality of domestic club football, the Eredivisie remains a footballing rite of passage for top prospects. The scouting networks of Europe’s top clubs keep a keen eye on the Eredivisie, as for every five duds, a generational talent can often be picked up relatively cheaply.

This summer, Manchester United are continuing their storied transfer history with the Eredivisie. Signing Tyrell Malacia for £15million from Feyenoord, Ten Hag has also made his intent clear to sign Lisandro Martinez from Ajax.
