Manchester United 'make approach' for Richarlison and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Richarlison this summer — and could benefit should Everton be relegated from the Premier League.

With the Toffees threatened with dropping into the Championship, having been dragged back to within a point of the relegation zone, a number of their players could be on offer during the summer. Richarlison would likely be one of those, with the Brazilian linked with some big clubs in the past.

Ahead of United’s trip to Goodison Park this weekend, rumours from Brazil have suggested Ralf Rangnick's side have made initial contact over the 24-year-old. UOL claim Richarlison is already working on his exit strategy from Everton, and is looking to stay in the Premier League. The report also suggests United are one of the clubs to have made an approach.

The Toffees would look to make the most of the interest — with Real Madrid also linked — and are said to be slapping a big asking price on their prize asset. The Merseyside club would look for around £67million, although that price would drop if they were to be relegated

Elsewhere, there is more speculation over Andreas Pereira’s future as the United loanee’s hopes of joining Flamengo permanently look to be fading away. The midfielder had been expecting to sign full-time with the South American outfit, but the deal looks as though it could collapse.

Flamengo chiefs had met with United in order to bring down Pereira’s asking price, with the two clubs reportedly reaching an agreement over a €10million fee. The Brazilian club are yet to finalise the deal though, and their decision could hinge on the 26-year-old’s performances over the next
