Manchester United 'join' Man City and PSG in hunt for Croatian wonderkid and more transfer rumours

Manchester United have joined the race for Croatian wonderkid Luka Vuskovic following bids from Man City and Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.

The 16-year-old centre-back has attracted plenty of interest since making his official debut for Hajduk Split in February, starting a huge game against Dinamo Zagreb just two days after his 16th birthday. City and PSG were the first to express their interest in the teenager, with Hajduk expected to cash in this summer.

Pep Guardiola's side have reportedly acted first, tabling a €12million offer which is expected to be turned down with the Croatian side confident they can increase that fee. PSG have also reportedly made an offer, although the value is not known.

And now 90min reports that United, along with Newcastle, Tottenham and several European clubs, have joined the race. The report adds that Hajduk Vuskovic will look for a deal this summer that will see the teenager return to his current club for at least one more season, likely on loan.

Elsewhere, Football Insider reports Eddie Howe is pushing his Newcastle United bosses to sign Scott McTominay this summer.

McTominay's future at Old Trafford remains uncertain with the midfielder thought to be on a list of potential departures as Erik ten Hag trims the fat of his squad. The Scotland international has plenty of Premier League suitors and was of interest to Newcastle and West Ham in January.

The Magpies continue to be linked with the 26-year-old, and Howe is reportedly very keen on adding the midfielder to his ranks as a big fan of his energy in the middle of the park and experience in the league and in Europe.
