Manchester United ‘hold talks' over Lisandro Martinez and Antony plus more transfer rumours
Manchester United are reportedly nearing a deal for Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez.
The centre-back is being targeted by the club after Jurrien Timber’s hesitancy over a transfer, following a warning by Netherlands head coach Louis Van Gaal about a potential World Cup squad omission if he didn't get game-time at United. Arsenal are also in the race for Martinez.
They tabled a £34m bid before United submitted their £37m offer. Ajax's transfer lead, former Dutch striker Jan-Klass Huntelaar, apparently travelled to London on Saturday to talk with United officials.

The Mirror adds that talks went well and the Argentine will join up with United’s squad in time for their flight to Thailand for pre-season. United chiefs also discussed the availability of right-winger Antony.
The Brazilian winger has been chased by the club for a number of weeks. However, Ajax are unwilling to reduce their £70m asking price.
Meanwhile, United have told interested parties that youngster Dylan Levitt is available for £300,000 this summer. The 21-year-old Wales international impressed Dundee United supporters during his loan spell last season, scoring six times in 30 games as the club earned a place in Europa Conference League qualifying.
The Sun reports that Cardiff City wish to bring the midfielder in on loan, but United would be open to offloading him. Dundee have also re-penned their interest too, it says.
