Manchester United have a £86million decision to make amid 'blockbuster' double swoop links

With just over a month of the Premier League campaign remaining, it is hardly surprising that more and more transfer speculation is starting clog up the online gossip columns.

One of the biggest stories to have surfaced so far this week has been a report claiming Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has 'met' super agent Jorge Mendes and 'discussed' the possibility of signing two of his clients ahead of this summer - Benfica's Joao Neves and AC Milan forward Rafael Leao.

United have been heavily linked with Neves' signature in recent months while Leao has been linked with a move to Old Trafford at various stages in his career. According to Portuguese newspaper Record, United plan to make 'two blockbuster signings' this forthcoming summer.

The upcoming transfer window, of course, will mark an important juncture in United's history. Following Ratcliffe's investment in February, Ineos now oversee all football-related activity at the club and recruitment is going to play a fundamental role in their quest to take the club forward.

Fresh links connecting United with Leao, however, are somewhat difficult to get onboard with. The Portuguese international, who is a highly versatile forward, has been around for sometime, despite only being 24, and would almost certainly command a fee in excess of £100million in the current market.
