Manchester United handed Casemiro blow as Lisandro Martinez shares injury update

Manchester United are straight back to business in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon with a match against Fulham at Craven Cottage (12.30pm).

Erik ten Hag and his misfiring side were beaten 3-0 for the second time in four days at Old Trafford on Wednesday night when Newcastle sent them packing in the Carabao Cup to avenge their defeat in the showpiece last season. Goals from Miguel Almiron, Lewis Hall and Joe Willock did the damage.

Martinez, 25, was then ruled out and forced to undergo more surgery. He could be out until the New Year and the centre-back has been missed by the squad.
