Manchester United fans agree with Ralf Rangnick over controversial Bruno Fernandes decision
Manchester United supporters think Ralf Rangnick was justified in his decision to replace Bruno Fernandes during the Champions League showdown with Atletico Madrid.
With a place in the last eight at stake, United found themselves 1-0 down at Old Trafford. Renan Lodi struck for the Spanish champions to give them a 1-0 lead at the interval.
That came after goals from Joao Felix and Anthony Elanga during the first leg in Madrid saw the two teams head into the Old Trafford clash on level terms. Having missed the win over Tottenham at the weekend after testing positive for Covid-19, there was an instant return for Fernandes as he started against Diego Simeone's robust Atletico.

Interim manager Rangnick opted to make three changes to his team. Scott McTominay and Elanga were the other men to come in as Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford missed out.
As the clock ticked down, the innovative German looked to make some changes. Never one to shy away from a bold call, Rangnick made a triple alteration midway through the second half.
Pogba and Rashford were among those summoned, with Fernandes one of the players to be replaced. Having laid on at least one assist in all six of his previous Champions League appearances this season, the decision raised eyebrows at Old Trafford and beyond.
