Manchester United fan's reaction to Middlesbrough's goal is so comical it's going viral

Manchester United have been knocked out of the FA Cup after losing on penalties to Middlesbrough on Friday evening.

The game went to spot-kicks with the scores locked at 1-1.

The first 15 penalties were scored. Anthony Elanga then missed his spot-kick in sudden death to condemn United to a shock exit from the competition.

Middlesbrough’s equaliser, scored by Matt Crooks in the 64th minute, was highly controversial.

Duncan Watmore accidentally handled the ball in the area. Play went on and he crossed the ball for Crooks to score.

Many would have expected the goal to be ruled out. But, VAR looked at the incident and the goal was allowed to stand.

By the rule book, the right decision was made.

Mark Goldbridge, presenter for The United Stand, was one supporter who was expecting the goal to be ruled out. He was then horrified when the goal was given.

His reaction to the goal is so comical it’s going viral on social media. Watch it below…
