Manchester United FA Cup run could hinge on them jumping a hurdle they've fallen at before

It’s been an up and down season for Manchester United. From wannabe title challengers to struggling to secure a place in the top four, the campaign certainly hasn't turned out as United fans would have wanted.

The FA Cup could be the perfect opportunity for Ralf Rangnick to put some silverware on the table during his short stint as United boss, though he'll need to overcome Middlesbrough on Friday night if he wants to take his side to Wembley.

A home draw against a side in the division below may seem a pretty routine task for United, but Boro have been in fine form since former Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder took charge.

Not only have Middlesbrough suffered just one defeat in 10 games, the Teessiders are expected to line up in a formation that United have struggled against in the past.

In the MEN’s latest Facebook Live, United on My Mind writer Omar Garrick was joined by content editor and Middlesbrough fan Ross Jackson as the pair looked ahead to Friday night’s FA Cup clash, including the system that could be a thorn in Rangnick’s side.
