Manchester United eyeing Brighton duo Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister and more transfer rumours

Manchester United have added Brighton duo Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister to their transfer shortlist, according to reports.

Erik ten Hag is expected to strengthen in midfield ahead of next season, with several midfielders of interest following news that Barcelona have deemed Frenkie De Jong untouchable. The Dutchman is thought to be keen on a ball-playing No.8, but could also add cover for Casemiro in the deeper role.

And according to the Telegraph, Caicedo and Mac Allister have been added to the list, the pair having impressed hugely on the south coast with Roberto De Zerbi's side an outside chance at qualifying for European football. Alongside Pascal Groß, the pair have formed one of the league's best midfield units.

However both signed fresh deals with Brighton this season and the report adds that Brighton expected to demand at least £70million for each of their stars, with little obligation to negotiate and an unwavering approach to resisting approaches from Europe's top sides.

Elsewhere, the Sun. reports that United will demand £50m for Scott McTominay this summer amid interest from several Premier League clubs.

The midfielder's minutes have been limited this season with the arrival of Casemiro last summer, increasing speculation that he could leave. Newcastle are one of several sides to have held an interest in McTominay, with Eddie Howe a big admirer of the 26-year-old's energy.

They and many other top-flight clubs will be eyeing a move for McTominay, but United have reportedly made it clear that they see the Scot as a key part of their setup, and as such will demand a premium fee, said to be in the region of £50m.
