Manchester United can sign a Christian Eriksen alternative to fit Erik ten Hag's vision
Manchester United have officially entered the transfer window, with Tyrell Malacia and Frenkie de Jong expected to join the club subject to medicals. Then attentions will turn to other targets, with the Manchester Evening News understanding that Erik ten Hag wants to bring in at least three more signings, ideally before the team jets off on pre-season tour on July 8th.
Lisandro Martinez and Antony are reportedly on United's shopping list as Ten Hag looks to be reunited with at least one player from Ajax, but another player that is of interest is Christian Eriksen. The Danish midfielder is available on a free transfer this summer after his contract at Brentford expired.
Ten Hag rates Eriksen highly and thinks he would complement United's current and future midfield options well, so the club have made an offer to bring him to Old Trafford. But could there be a better option available on the market?

TalkSport have reported that United could turn their attention to Youri Tielemans after Arsenal have given up on a pursuit for the Belgian. The midfielder is entering the last year of his contract and multiple outlets have reported that Leicester City could accept as little as £25m this summer.
On paper, Eriksen is a much more technically gifted player and, even if it is limited, has experience of working with Ten Hag before, as he trained with him at Ajax while searching for a new club. At 25 years old, Tielemans has a large amount of his career still ahead of him and could reach new heights under the Dutch manager.
