Manchester United and Man City have Carabao Cup fixture details confirmed

Manchester United and Manchester City have had their Carabao Cup third-round match dates confirmed, with both clubs starting their EFL cup campaigns with matches against Premier League clubs.

Erik ten Hag's side will face off against Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Thursday 10 November, with the match kicking off at 8pm. The game has been selected for live TV coverage in the UK and will be shown on Sky Sports.

It will be the second clash between the two clubs in the space of five days, with the Reds going to Villa Park on Sunday 6 November for a Premier League game match - with the game kicking off at 2pm.

The winners between United and Villa in the Carabao Cup will play in one of the first domestic games when the season resumes after the World Cup final in Qatar.

Meanwhile, City's third round Carabao Cup clash against Chelsea will take place at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday 9 November, with kick off at 8pm. The match will be shown on Sky Sports.

Should United and/or City progress to the fourth-round, the ties are due to be staged in the week commencing 19 December.
