Manchester travel chaos for rail passengers following 'incident' at London Euston
Mancunians heading to and from London have been stuck on trains following a major signal issue at Euston. Avanti West Coast services heading between Manchester Piccadilly and the capital are affected today (October 15).
All services on Euston lines were stopped this morning due to a signalling issue. Lines have since reopened, but passengers are being warned of huge delays.
A National Rail update says: "Lines have now reopened following a points failure at London Euston. Whilst service recovers, trains running to / from this station may be cancelled or severely delayed by up to 90 minutes.

"Major disruption is expected to continue until 15:30." Passengers have reportedly been trapped on trains since the failure began.
Lines reopened at around 12.45pm. London Northwestern Railway and London Overground services are also affected.
