Manchester's best rooftop restaurants as sun shines on city

Not to jinx it, but it looks like we’re in for a decent stretch of sunshine here in the Rainy City. And obviously thoughts rightly turn to grabbing every minute to be outside and make the very most of it.

El Gato Negro

High above King Street, El Gato’s top floor terrace is the perfect sun trap for glorious sunny days. And with its authentic tapas, you could actually be sunning yourself in Barcelona with a glass or two of rosado and a table groaning with small dishes.

Honest Burgers

While rooftop restaurants might have an inherent air of poshness about them, you can also stuff down burgers and fries in the sun at Honest, on its hidden roof terrace. Great for a quick lunch or a more leisurely early evening visit as the sun goes down.

The Ivy

The Ivy’s handsome roof garden is a fine spot to soak up the sun over breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. There are miniature
