Manchester City XI vs Man United: Predicted lineup, team news and injury latest for Premier League derby

Pep Guardiola will pick from his embarrassment of riches when formulating his Manchester City line-up to face Manchester United in Sunday’s derby.

The Premier League leaders have had very few injury problems to speak of all season but there are questions over Ruben Dias ahead of the clash at the Etihad Stadium.

During the midweek FA Cup win at Peterborough, both the Portuguese defender and reserve centre-back Nathan Ake were forced off with problems at the break.

“Nathan finished bad in the action when he got the yellow card and Ruben was not feeling good in his leg,” Guardiola revealed.

“That's why, for caution and to be alert, we made the substitutions. It was not planned but Aymeric [Laporte] and John [Stones] were excellent [in the] second-half. I would say it was a medical decision.”

City could go with Laporte and Stones as the central defensive pairing against United while Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Rodri are hoping to return after being rested.
