Manchester City's next five Premier League games compared to Arsenal and Tottenham

The Premier League is at roughly the quarter-way stage, with most teams having played nine games so far.

Manchester City's quest to win a fifth title in six seasons has started excellently with Pep Guardiola's men the only undefeated team in the top flight so far.

Despite that, it is Arsenal who perhaps surprisingly lead the way with eight wins from nine pushing Mikel Arteta's side to the summit. Not too far behind those two are Tottenham Hotspur. Antonio Conte's side have acquired 20 points and have lost just once this term.

Here, we look at the next five games for each of the top three. And of the trio's immediate schedule, you would say Arsenal have probably the most favourable run with an away game at Chelsea the toughest of their next five outings. Additionally, a fixture quirk means four of their next five games are away from the Emirates.

City travel to Anfield next up to face what has so far been a below-par Liverpool side but after that trip to Merseyside they have three home games that look relatively straightforward - Brighton, Fulham and Brentford. Sandwiched in-between is a trip to Leicester who have endured a horror start to the campaign.

As for Spurs, their next five games see them face acid tests against Manchester United, Liverpool and in-form Newcastle.

The complexion of the table could have an entirely different look to it once we reach mid-November.
