Man Utd to face Liverpool in Bangkok in July pre-season tour

Man Utd will take on arch-rivals Liverpool in a pre-season friendly in Bangkok, Thailand in July, the Red Devils have confirmed.

The Manchester club will visit the Thai capital for the first time since 2013 when they face the Reds on July 12.

They will then travel to Melbourne, visiting the Australian city for the first time in 23 years. On July 15, Man Utd will face Melbourne Victory before an encounter against Premier League rivals Crystal Palace on July 19.

Both matches will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, where they are expected to attract around 150,000 spectators.

Man Utd director, John Murtough said (via the Mirror): “Pre-season tours are such an important part of the squad’s preparation for the season ahead, so it’s crucial to have excellent training facilities and high-quality opposition.
