Man Utd's transfer business after Rabiot & Arnautovic bids mocked in comical video

Manchester United haven’t enjoyed great success in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils needed to strengthen massively after missing out on Champions League football last season.

Thus far, they have managed to bring in Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen and Tyrell Malacia.

But they have so far been frustrated in their attempts to sign their main summer target: Frenkie De Jong.

United have been in pursuit of the Dutchman for a few months but have been unable to complete a deal.

With only three weeks left of the transfer window, time is running out for United and they have recently turned their attention to signing Marko Arnautovic and Adrien Rabiot.

United have failed in a move for Arnautovic, 33, and won’t be completing a deal following fan concerns.

While United fans haven’t exactly been overjoyed with their pursuit of Rabiot, either, a midfielder who failed to score a single goal in 45 games for Juventus last season.

The video starts with a board showing United’s ‘transfer targets’, including Christian Benteke, Danny Welbeck and Graziano Pelle.

The camera then pans to two United employees picking their next transfer target using a paper fortune teller.

Arnautovic’s name pops up. After a quick phone call they are turned down.

An employee is then asked how the negotiations for De Jong are going. The employee, despite initially saying they are going well, is doing nothing and can’t do anything because the computer is broken.
