Man Utd fans spot Scott McTominay's celebrations during Anthony Elanga's goal

It feels as though Manchester United’s 4-2 win over Leeds on Sunday is far bigger than just the three points.

By beating their rivals, they moved into the top four. But it was the manner of the victory and the character shown that will have pleased United fans most.

Ralf Rangnick’s side went 2-0 ahead in the first half but were stunned by two goals in two second-half minutes which saw Leeds complete a quite remarkable turnaround.

The visitors could have crumbled with the home crowd now at fever pitch.

But the Red Devils rallied and retook the lead through substitute Fred with 20 minutes remaining.

Anthony Elanga sealed the three points, making it 4-2 in the 88th-minute.

Job done.

During the celebrations of Fred’s goal, Elanga had been struck in the head with a coin thrown by Leeds fans. So, after Elanga had got revenge by finishing off the match, the United players weren’t going to hold back their joy – especially a certain Scott McTominay.

McTominay was heavily involved throughout the 90 minutes and could consider himself rather fortunate not to have picked up more than one yellow card.

While it was impossible to ignore McTominay all-action performance, you may have missed his joyous celebration after Elanga made it 4-2.

Ultimate Man Utd quiz: One question on every member of the Red Devils squad

Fortunately for us, a video clip has been shared on social media showing his bizarre swan-like dive towards the jubilant United fans.

Before even Elanga was in the screen, McTominay jumped up, landed on his back and slide towards the away fans. He then joined the rest of the players.

Also notice Fernandes’ strange running towards the supporters…

Take a look:

tell me Scott McTominay is sane
