Man Utd: Eriksen 'definitely appreciates' £73k-a-week teammate at Old Trafford

Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen will appreciate the work that Scott McTominay does next to him, says journalist Dean Jones.

The two have both been playing in the middle of the park with each other since the Dane’s arrival at Old Trafford, and Jones thinks he is happy to start alongside someone like the £73,000-a-week Scotland international.

Since taking over as manager, Erik ten Hag has mostly used a 4-2-3-1 formation.

That has seen Eriksen and McTominay take up the two midfield roles behind the No.10, Bruno Fernandes, which is how United lined up in their recent 3-1 victory against Arsenal.

You would expect there to be some sort of change in the near future following the Red Devils’ £70m capture of Casemiro, who has not joined the club to sit on the bench.

For now, though, the midfield partnership of Eriksen and McTominay seems to be working for the Manchester outfit.

Jones says Eriksen will be pleased with the leg work that McTominay is doing for the two in the middle of the park.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “Eriksen will appreciate the work that McTominay does on a pitch. As a spectator, you might not be wowed by what McTominay does, but as a player playing alongside him, you would definitely appreciate the hard yards he puts in.”

Ten Hag will be delighted with the club’s acquisition of Eriksen. He is a quality player who cost nothing and is currently performing for the Dutchman.
