Man Utd defender could ‘miss rest of the season’ due to 2015 injury
Manchester United defender Luke Shaw could reportedly miss the rest of the Premier League season due to an injury he suffered in 2015.
The England international underwent surgery last week to remove the metal bolts put into his leg back in 2015.
Ten Hag can fix Manchester United – but only if they let him
United’s interim boss Ralf Rangnick had hoped to have the defender back in the coming weeks but it is now thought that he may remain unavailable for the rest of the current campaign.
The Telegraph (via the Daily Mail) are reporting that Shaw has suffered a setback in his recovery from the surgery and will now miss United’s final seven Premier Leeague fixtures.
The bolts place in his leg were as a result of a fracture he suffered during a Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven.
The injury ruled Shaw out for a total of 11 months at the time, significantly affecting his early Old Trafford career.
