Man Utd boss Ralf Rangnick makes Cristiano Ronaldo decision for Man City clash
Ralf Rangnick is set to show faith in Cristiano Ronaldo by starting him for Manchester United’s clash with Manchester City on Sunday.
Ronaldo has bagged just once in his last 10 games but The Sun claim Rangnick will still stick with him for the Manchester derby.
The 37-year-old’s start in the goalless draw with Watford on Saturday was his fifth game in 15 days but after a week’s rest, Rangnick will be hoping the Portuguese can deliver the goods against their arch rivals.
Despite the emergence of teenager Anthony Elanga in recent months, Rangnick has little other options to choose from up front at present.
Edinson Cavani has missed the last five games with a groin problem and scored twice all season, while Marcus Rashford’s poor form has seen him net just five goals in four-and-a-half months.

The Red Devils needed Elanga to come off the bench and rescue them a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid last week before being held to a 0-0 draw against Watford.
United sit fourth in the Premier League table at present but are far from guaranteed Champions League football with Arsenal and West Ham in hot pursuit.
Red Devils legend Rio Ferdiand recently gave a damning verdict of where exactly his former club are right now in terms of challenging for trophies.
‘The problem I have is that Ralf has come in but then you’re going to have to change it again for someone else’s style of football. It’s then going to be another upheaval, new style to implement and players understanding that,’ Ferdinand said on his Vibe with Five YouTube channel.
