Man Utd attackers sent brutal Raheem Sterling message as they're slated on live TV

Former Watford striker Troy Deeney ripped into Manchester United's attackers live on Sky Sports and said Raheem Sterling is better than all of them.

The Chelsea forward, 29, has been eyed up for a move to Old Trafford ever since he was banished from the first team by Blues boss Enzo Maresca. The ex-Manchester City forward is being considered by the Red Devils, who may even offer Jadon Sancho in exchange.

Despite reaching a truce with Erik ten Hag, Sancho has been left out of United's Premier League matches against Fulham and Brighton and Hove Albion, and he has not featured since missing a penalty in the Community Shield shoot-out defeat to City. If Sterling was to move to United, Deeney thinks he would be an upgrade on all of Ten Hag's current wingers.

Speaking live on Sky Sports ahead of the Tuesday night Carabao Cup ties, Deeney said: “He’s better than everything they’ve got there. He’d give more of a leadership role to the likes Garnacho and Amad.

“United fans will probably look at it as an improvement. Because, at the moment when I watch United, I thought they did OK at the weekend. They lacked one or two bits. If they get Luke Shaw back at left-back, that adds a completely different dynamic."
