Man Utd 2-1 Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp couldn’t hide feelings towards Bruno Fernandes
Bruno Fernandes managed to wind up everyone associated with Liverpool during Manchester United’s 2-1 victory at Old Trafford on Monday night.
The Portuguese midfielder angered Liverpool’s players, coaching staff and supporters by holding onto the ball after Mohamed Salah scored to make it 2-1 with 10 minutes remaining.
Fernandes appeared keen to waste as much time as possible but it was a risky tactic considering he was already on a yellow card.
Referee Michael Oliver opted against booking Fernandes, United’s captain for the night in place of the benched Harry Maguire, for a second time – a decision some felt was lenient.

Per The Athletic’s Laurie Whitwell, Klopp had words with Fernandes shortly after his antics following Salah’s consolation goal.

And the Liverpool boss couldn’t hide his feelings towards Man Utd’s No. 8 after the full-time whistle, putting his hands around the Portugal international’s neck while pretending to strangle him.
