Man Utd 1-1 Leicester: Rashford prevented from scoring winner by Elanga
Manchester United and Leicester City shared the spoils in their Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
Leicester took the lead in the 63rd minute when Kelechi Iheanacho headed home James Maddison’s brilliant cross.
But The Foxes weren’t ahead for long.
Fred found the net just three minutes later after Kasper Schmeichel could only parry Bruno Fernandes’ effort.
There were no further goals as the game ended 1-1.
United had a golden opportunity to win the game in the final moments.
Marcus Rashford was lively after coming off the bench. He looked as if he would fire in a dramatic winner in the last minute of the game.
The Englishman showed great feet inside the box to go 1 vs 1 with Kasper Schmeichel.
But, just as he was about to pull the trigger, he was taken out by his own teammate, Anthony Elanga.
To make matters even worse, Elanga was standing in an offside position and a free-kick was given to Leicester.
Rashford was not happy at all and understandably so. Fernandes, meanwhile, complained for a penalty.
