Man United vs Brighton prediction and odds ahead of Premier League clash

With the international break over, Erik ten Hag will be looking for his Manchester United side to respond strongly in the Premier League when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Old Trafford. They went into the break after suffering a loss at Arsenal which has seen many criticise Ten Hag's approach to the match and the squad at his disposal.

The Red Devils go into this match as the favourites at 11/10 with Betfred while the Seagulls are 15/8 to win their fourth successive league clash against their hosts and a draw is 13/5. United had a strong record against Brighton winning eight of their last nine league meetings at Old Trafford before their recent slump against the south coast club.

All of United's wins so far this season have come at home but they have not been comfortable wins either. A hard-fought win on the opening day against Wolves just days after Julen Lopetegui resigned and had to claw back from a 2-0 deficit against Nottingham Forest which was helped by Joe Worrall receiving a red card. Away from home is not the best to read either having picked up zero points from both their trips to north London which does not bode well ahead of their trip to Germany to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League group stage.

For Brighton, they will want to hit the ground running ahead of their European debut on Thursday when they face AEK Athens at the American Community Stadium. Their Europa League group stage campaign feature the Greek champions along with former Champions League winners Marseille and Ajax so to get consecutive wins at Old Trafford for the first time in the club's history will certainly put Roberto De Zerbi's side on the right track.
