It's not too long now until the January transfer window opens and there continues to be talk of potential imcomings and outgoings as plans for the window are put into place.

One player who has been linked with a move away from United is midfielder Kobbie Mainoo. The academy graduate has struggled for game time this season and Napoli are the team said to be showing the most interest in a potential deal.

It's in the middle where Ruben Amorim is most likely to strengthen in the next couple of transfer windows. Several names have been linked including Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton and Brighton and Hove Albion's Carlos Baleba.

But it's not only in central midfield where United could strengthen as Amorim may look at other areas too. Another player to be linked over the last few days include Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi.

With the return of the Premier League on the horizon, Amorim will be preparing his team for the home clash against Everton which takes place in one week. Ahead of that game, United sit in seventh place in the table, but are just one point from the top four.
