Man United transfer news LIVE - Antoine Semenyo battle, Ayyoub Bouaddi plan, Joshua Zirkzee exit
Manchester United are expected to be one of the busiest teams when the January transfer window opens, with a replacement for Bruno Fernandes on their radar and a new attacker being eyed by Ruben Amorim.
The main name is Bournemouth's attacker Antoine Semenyo. The Ghana international's £65m release clause will become active in the first two weeks of the window and United are battling closely with Manchester City and Tottenham for his signature.
Semenyo has scored eight goals in 16 Premier League goals this season and elsewhere, continued speculation around reinforcements in midfield have arisen once more after Fernandes' injury in the 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa.
Before the United captain faced a period on the touchline, United were already plotting a reshuffle in the middle of the park. Carlos Baleba and Adam Wharton are both of interest, with Kobbie Mainoo's own future at Old Trafford set to shape what plays out next month.

Brighton have no plans to sell Carlos Baleba until 2027, according to The Times.
An approach from United for Baleba was rejected during the summer, and the club was informed that a bid of more than £100million was required for Brighton to even consider a sale.
But Brighton are now prepared to hold on to Baleba for at least another 18 months, even if United decide to dip back into the market and attempt to sign him in 2026.
