While on the takeover front, a consortium from the United Arab Emirates are reportedly preparing to make an offer to buy the Glazers majority shares in the club. It has also been claimed the consortium would like David Beckham - who already has ownership interests in Inter Miami and Salford - to be an ambassador for the bid.
