Man United transfer dismissed by agent as £37.8m release clause could be activated

The summer transfer window may be over, but that has not stopped talk over possible incomings and outgoings at Manchester United over the last few days.

Speculation continues with some nations' windows remaining open, while eyes also turn quickly to the January transfer window. Plans will already be being made for the mid-season window as clubs look to continue to add to their squads.

He was also linked with a move to Ajax earlier in the window. But it seems that he will be staying at United.

The 32-year-old has made just one appearance so far this season. He came on for the final four minutes of the 3-0 defeat against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

Elsewhere, United continue to be linked with an interest in players, despite the window being closed. The latest is River Plate midfielder Franco Mastantuono.
