Man found dead in Salford suburb

A man has been found dead in a Salford suburb. Police were called to Lamorna Close, Kersal, at around 5.45pm on Friday (September 13).

Neighbours reported a police presence into the night. A scene is understood to have been in place near Kersal Wetlands and neighbouring Kersal Dale.

The Manchester Evening News has now learned a man was found dead. There are not thought to be suspicious circumstances. A file will be passed to the coroner.

An image taken on Friday showed a Greater Manchester Police vehicle on adjoining South Radford Street. There was no sign of police or a scene on Saturday morning (September 14).

No further information has been released.
