Man City are on track to break their Champions League hoodoo but the tournament favourites might not find it as easy to overcome an in-form Atlético Madrid side as the prices suggest.

Regarded by many as the best club side in the world right now, Pep Guardiola's side are naturally expected to progress, as odds of 1/4 with Betfred to qualify for the semi-finals indicate. Atlético are 3/1.

City have reached the quarter-final stage for five successive seasons but they have failed at this hurdle in three of the last four seasons despite being favourites to progress on each occasion.

However, keeping Atlético at bay isn't going to be easy - Diego Simeone's side are arguably in better form now than at any point this season.
