Man City vs Atletico Madrid LIVE early team news, predicted line up and score updates in Champions League

Manchester City are hoping for a positive result tonight in their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Atletico Madrid.

City beat Sporting in the last round to book a meeting with Atletico, who knocked out Manchester United, but don't have the luxury of playing the second leg at the Etihad and must use home comforts to their advantage tonight.

Pep Guardiola insisted that Atletico will be tough to beat, but promised that City would approach both legs with the intention to win. Much of the build-up has centred around the contrasting styles between Guardiola and Atletico boss Diego Simeone, but the City manager says this tie is about the players.

Guardiola will be without Kyle Walker, who serves the final game of his Champions League suspension, and the injured Ruben Dias. John Stones trained before the game after sitting out the Burnley win as a precaution.
