Man City training squad vs RB Leipzig in Champions League revealed

Manchester City have a full squad to pick from for the Champions League last-16 second leg against RB Leipzig this week.

City welcome Leipzig to the Etihad on Tuesday following last month's 1-1 draw in Germany, when Josko Gvardiol cancelled out Riyad Mahrez's first-half goal. With the away goals rule scrapped, City know the task this week is simple - win and book a place in the quarter finals.

Pep Guardiola dropped Kyle Walker and Kevin De Bruyne at Crystal Palace over the weekend, and could recall both to the starting line-up against Leipzig. Mahrez will also be looking for a start after losing his place to Phil Foden in recent games.

Aiding his team selection, Guardiola had a full squad in training on Monday, meaning there are no fresh injury concerns to contend with for what the manager has called a decisive game in City's season.

Often the pre-match training group is boosted by some youngsters in the training squad, however the full senior squad meant there was no need for any academy call-ups. Still, if City did want to add any youngsters to their official UEFA squad for the game, they must do so by midnight on Monday.

Phil Foden complained last week of an ankle issue that has been bugging him for a few weeks, although trained all last week and started at Crystal Palace. He was part of the group again on Monday and appears to have recovered from last week's scare.

Man City training squad vs RB Leipzig: Ederson, Ortega, Carson, Ake, Akanji, Dias, Stones, Laporte, Walker, Lewis, Gomez, Rodri, Phillips, Gundogan, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Perrone, Palmer, Foden, Grealish, Mahrez, Alvarez, Haaland.
