Man City star Kyle Walker sends Manchester United FA Cup warning

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has warned 'bitter rivals' Manchester United that his side are determined to make history by adding FA Cup and European glory to their Premier League title.

City were confirmed as Premier League champions for a third consecutive season over the weekend, following Arsenal's defeat at Nottingham Forest. They lifted the title after beating Chelsea 1-0 at the Etihad on Sunday, with games at Brighton and Brentford left to play in the league.

Following those two away days, Pep Guardiola's side face two huge finals. the first being an FA Cup meeting with United at Wembley on June 3. The Reds are on course for a successful season of their own, with a Carabao Cup in the cabinet and only one point needed for a place in the top four.

Erik ten Hag will be desperate not just to secure a second major trophy in his debut season at Old Trafford, but to end City's hopes of equalling United's 1999 treble-winning side. However Blues right-back Walker knows his side will be fired up for the first of two defining matches.

“This group of lads are second to none, they’re winners and that’s how we get across the line more times than not,” the right-back told Sky Sports.

“But we’re not finished, we’ve got the FA Cup against our bitter rivals and the Champions League final on June 10. We will enjoy it today, we will have a few glasses of champagne but then we move onto June, which is the big one and hopefully we can create history with this great club.”

City then play Inter Milan in Istanbul for the Champions League, with United presenting their biggest hurdle to winning the treble.
