Man City 'set Raheem Sterling asking price' and more transfer rumours

Manchester City have reportedly set their asking price for Raheem Sterling as they prepare to enter contract negotiations this summer.

There is some uncertainty over the England international’s future at the Etihad, with his contract set to expire next year.

Sterling has previously hinted he could be tempted into a move away, suggesting he would look elsewhere in order to secure regular playing time during a period where he found himself somewhat out of favour.

The 27-year-old has returned to Pep Guardiola’s side since though, and has been in superb form in recent weeks, yet there remains some doubt over his future at the club.

According to The Times (via Sports Illustrated), City will enter contract renewal talks with Sterling at the end of the season, with the forward expected to commit his future to the club.

But, should Sterling refuse a new contract, it is claimed City could decide to cash in during the summer transfer window.

The Blues would reportedly look for upwards of the £50million fee they spent on signing Sterling from Liverpool back in 2015, with Barcelona having been linked.

Elsewhere, City are being linked with another Brazilian youngster amid reports they are about to complete the signing of Savinho.

The 17-year-old is said to be on the verge of a €6.5million move from Atletico Mineiro, and reports have suggested he could be followed by another teenager
