Man City's perfect 25-man squad next season with three new signings

Pep Guardiola's pursuit of absolute perfection means Manchester City will surely strengthen their squad even further in the summer transfer window.

With the Blues still on course to complete an historic treble, who knows what success will look like at the Etihad Stadium by the end of the season. They have a hectic April, with a two-legged Champions League quarter-final with Atletico Madrid, an FA Cup semi-final with Liverpool and several important Premier League fixtures on the horizon.

Last summer, City completed the record-breaking £100million transfer of Aston Villa's Jack Grealish, while further attempts to sign Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and then-Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo both fell by the wayside.

There are no surprises that a striker is top of the agenda at the moment, with links to Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland growing stronger by the day.

City could be saying goodbye to a few players in the summer too. A quartet of stars have contracts that expire in 2023, but it's unlikely the club will let the vast majority go without a direct replacement. Out of them though, Gabriel Jesus is the one the most on the fringes and is the favourite to leave if City get their desired targets.
